Yes this little critter stayed on that tree for about 30 minutes before he finally flew away...plenty of time for Jerry to get his wonderful pictures...

Yes, I took alot of pictures of him , I slowly inched my my toward him . Taking pictures as I went .. Then went backout and got more of him ..

Well I know this isn't Woody Wood Pecker , but this wood pecker loved the crabapple tree just like the deer liked the crabapples..
